Copyright requests

Only submit material you own or have permission to use. We may remove or disable access to infringing material and restrict or terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. We review reports and counter-notices individually; an allegation alone does not establish infringement.

Report material

Use our contact form and choose “Copyright complaint.” Include:

• Your name, mailing address, phone number and email.
• A description of the copyrighted work and the material you believe infringes it, with a URL or other precise location that lets us find it.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

Dispute a removal

If your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, choose “Copyright counter-notice.” Include your signature; identification and former location of the removed material; your name, address and phone number; and a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification. Include consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district of your address (or, outside the United States, a district where the service provider may be found) and acceptance of service of process from the original claimant or their agent.

We may forward a counter-notice and its contact details to the claimant. When the statutory process applies, restoration generally occurs 10–14 business days after a valid counter-notice unless we receive notice of a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement. Preserve the report reference for follow-up. Knowingly making material misrepresentations can have legal consequences.
